Who We Are

Market Design Furniture Inc. is a woman-owned company that has furnished affordable housing since 2001. We work with nonprofit developers, housing authorities, and property management teams on permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, emergency shelters, and affordable multifamily properties. That covers furnishings for resident units, community rooms, lounge areas, staff offices, and outdoor spaces, from selection through installation.

From projects for Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) in San Francisco, A Community of Friends (ACOF) in Los Angeles, our portfolio includes affordable housing developed or rehabbed by a wide range of nonprofit developers and governmental agencies serving vulnerable communities: Veterans, Seniors, Families, Formerly unhoused, People with mental and physical disabilities, and youth in need of a decent, affordable place to live or obtain short-term shelter.

Our clients include large nonprofit organizations like Mercy Housing, Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, Chinatown Community Development, Episcopal Community Services, and Mid-Pen Housing.
